A Christmas Carol

The Return of the Pantaloons

What a show this is! A cornucopia of Christmas capers. A fandango of festive frivolities. A show so splendiferous that Queen Victoria herself said “I am very amused”, Charles Darwin gave it two opposable thumbs up, and Mr Dickens wrote a book about it.

This is the classic tale of miserly Ebenezer Scrooge as told by The Pantaloons Penny Circus, a rag-tag group of Victorian squawkers, hawkers and porkers. So as well as Dickens’ moving festive fable of redemption, audiences get to see the dubious magic of the Great Wizardo, the invisible man’s acrobatic display and a fantastic freak show (minus the freaks).
